Action Type: Youth mobility Project Title: Safe youth in Safe cities - "LaSa" (Sandnes-Labin)  Duration: 1.5.2016.-31.10.2016. Applicant: Sandnes municipality
Objective: Learn about safety factors that enhance youth safety, and map out elements that pose a threat. Share practises and methods. Discuss how we can improve society by physical planning, and social responsibility on an organisatorial and individual level. Encourage cross cultural interaction and non-formal learning. Implement the WHO health 2020 vision and network of Healthy cities to get youth engaged, and empowered to be active and involved citizens.
Partners: The Municipality of Sandnes - The Town of Labin
Participants: Youth council members from Sandnes and Labin. Youth from media organizations in Sandnes and Labin. Mentors/trainers on non- formal learning methods, Youth safety expertise and media production from Norway and Croatia. Project managers from Sandnes and Labin.
Preporatory activity: February 22-23 2016, venue Ogna
Sandnes youth council seminar with mentors - Learning about youth safety. Preparations for exchange visit from Croatia. The participants will prepare for their role as hosts, and plan cultural activities, seminars and workshops that will take place in April. The participants will be trained as workshop fasillitators to run dialogue sessions in Sandnes in April.
Main activities - Exchange visits:
April 27 - May 3 2016. Venue Sandnes
Exchange visit from Labin - Croatia. The Sandnes projectmanagers and Sandnes youth council will organize the activites and practical arrangements. The Croatian participants will live with the Sandnes youth and participate in activities to experience their culture. Seminars will be held on the subject Safety. Best practices will be presented. Parallel to the exchange a conference for the Norwegian network of Healthy Cities is held. The project will exploit resources brought in for the conference in form of competent lecturers and the gathering of regional high profile descicionmakers. The project will strive to make a presentantion from their worshops to present on the conference. Documentary film making on non formal learning, youth involvement and youth safety.
June 20- 27 2016. Venue Labin Croatia.
Participants from Sandnes will join the Labin and Rieka participants in Labin. Activities and practical arrangements are organized by the Labin partners. Presentations of methods to reduce safety risks/ establish safety for youth. Results from the Sandnes work sessions will be presented and the participants will work on documentation. Project evaluation session. The participants will learn about Croatian culture by participation in activities.Documentary film making on non formal learning, youth involvement and youth safety.
Project strengts: Both partners are members of the Healthy City network initiated by the WHO - The world health organization. Project results and reports will be published and spread througout the network. The healty city organization has an extensive network of organizations and officials. The national healthy city conference parallell to the project exchange in Sandnes forms an unike opportunity for visibility, learning and networking. Municipalities, policymakers, and organization working on activities related to the subject are the target groups.
The Sandnes youth media Lab will be involved in the project to cover the activities. A camera team from the youth mediadesk ungisandnes will produce a documentary covering the project. Videos and reportages will be published on youtube and ungisandnes.com Here youth will be reached as an audience.
Project ambition: Youth safety will be on the agenda, and will be the subject matter throughout the project. Local and regional politicians will receive presentations and a report containing recommendation from the youth. Our hope is that some of the best practices, or new methods created during the seminars will be implemented in the partnering cities. If sucsessfull, models could spread from one pilot municipality to the next. The desired impact is an enhancement on youth safety in the partner cities. 
Our ambition for the project participants is to give them an unforgettable experience with lasting impact. Praticipants have learned workshop methods. They have gained knowledge on the topic youth saftey factors. They have been heard by descionmakers. They will feel empowered by their ability to contibute to society. The participants have formed new friendships and experienced a different culture, outside of their regular arena for socializing and learning.
Project organization:
The project is based on a meeting in Labin summer 2015, where subjects of interest were discussed, and the project partnership was formed. The Municipality of Sandnes and the Town of Labin joins in a collaborative partnership and project management. Sandnes will be responsible for the formal application process and reporting. Sandnes will organize all events and travel arrangements for the Sandnes visit in April. The Labin project partner will be responsible for all activities in Croatia. Both partners, Sandnes and Labin will report on finances, commit to proper accounting and risk assessments in regards to project activities. Each partner will assign a project manager responsible for coordination and communication for the project.

4.5.2016. S Norvežanima uspješno realiziran  I. dio EU projekta Erasmus+ K1 Mobilnost mladih na temu “Sigurna djeca u sigurnom gradu” (27.4.-3.5.2016.) 
Predstavnica Grada Labina, dogradonačelnica Eni Modrušan, predstavnica Udruge za mlade Alfa Albona Ana Tavić te predstavnici Srednje škole Mate Blažine, ravnatelj Čedomir Ružić s profesoricama Orijanom Tenčić i Laurom Kokot, voditeljicom Gradskog vijeća mladih i 20 učenika vratili se s uspješnog radnog posjeta Sandnesu (Norveška) u sklopu EU projekta Erasmus+ K1 Mobilnost mladih na temu Sigurna djeca u sigurnom gradu (Safe youth in Safe cities Labin-Sandnes "LaSa"). 
Učenici Srednje škole Mate Blažine koji sudjeluju u projektu su: Antonio Bembić, David Brajković, Borna Fable, Arjeta Hodža, Erin Kos, Erna Kurbašić, Natalia Licul, Tomas Martinčić, Elena Miletić, Massima Milevoj, Dora Osmak, Karmen Rabar, Mate Ružić, Eros Stemberger, Emili Šegon, Paolo Tenčić, Kristina Višković, Carla Zahtila, Nina Zahtila i Roberta Žufić.
"LaSa" Youth Safety mobility project zajednički je međunarodni projekt Grada Labina i Srednje škole Mate Blažina s jedne strane i kao nositelja projekta norveškog grada Sandnesa i njihovog gradskog vijeća mladih. Financiran je sredstvima Europske unije kroz program ERASMUS+ K1 Mobilnost mladih. 
Osnovna tema i koncept projekta je "Sigurnost mladih". Projektom su predviđena 2 susreta u trajanju od 7 dana. Prvi  susret se održao od 27. travnja do 3. svibnja 2016. u norveškom gradu Sandnesu, a drugi će se održati u Labinu od 20. do 27. lipnja.
U prvom susretu labinski učenici su po prvi puta bili smješteni u obitelji učenika iz Sandnesa,  dok će u drugoj fazi oni ugostiti norveške učenike u Labinu. 
Budući da se drugog dana susreta održavala i konferencija Mreže zdravih gradova Norveške, labinski predstavnici su prisustvovali svečanom otvorenju same konferencije i uvodnim predavanjima. Učenici su imali priliku posjetiti škole svojih domaćina i prisustvovati samoj nastavi te su tako stekli uvid kako izgleda redovna nastava u Norveškoj.  Mladi su se jedni drugima predstavili prezentacijama o svojim zemljama, kulturi i znamenitostima, a labinski su srednjoškolci predstavili svoju  prezentaciju na temu "Sigurnosti mladih i sigurnosnih mjera u Labinu".
 
Održano je predavanje gospođe Kristin Stien Øye na temu “Prevencije kriminala” i prezentacija projekta “Dnevni i noćni gavrani” od strane Bjarte Bjørnsena nakon čega je uslijedio zajednički obilazak grada u društvu volontera – "dnevnih gavrana". Projekt “Dnevni i noćni gavrani” je volonterski projekt koji ima za cilj obilazak grada na mjestima gdje se sakupljaju mladi pokazujući brigu za njih i odgovornost te na taj način sprečavaju i smanjuju nasilje, kriminal i vandalizam. Važno je naglasiti da oni ne zamjenjuju policiju već ukoliko svjedoče potencijalno opasnoj situaciji ili kriminalnom činu pozivaju policiju. Na taj način nema opasnosti za njih same. Projekt “Noćnih gavrana” započeo je u Švedskoj u kasnim osamdesetima, a rezultirao je padom nasilja i vandalizma za 50%. U Sandnesu su Noćni gavrani uvedeni 1997., a dnevni 2007. godine.
 
Danas u Norveškoj ima preko 500 grupa Noćnih gavrana i sam projekt je postao jedan od najvećih i najbitnijih edukacijskih projekata odraslih u Norveškoj. Uvođenjem Noćnih gavrana u gradu Sandnesu se nasilje i vandalizam smanjilo za oko 50%. 
Cilj samog projekta LaSaje i uvođenja slične patrole u Labinu, pa su mladi najprije poradili uz stručno vodstvo koordinatorice rada s mladima u Sandnesu Nine Osland na dizajnu novog simbola za Grad Labin a na kraju i na evaluaciji aktivnosti.
 
Nakon nekoliko skiciranih prijedloga učenici  su izabrali prijedlog simbola (sova koja nosi dalekozor).
Osim rada na samoj temi projekta, za učenike su bila organizirana i sportska druženja, posjeti znamenitostima, zajedničko spravljanje ručka, kuglanje te izlet u zabavni park Kongeparken. 
 

 
Zahvaljujemo se partneru Općini Sandnes na organizaciji posjeta i ljubaznim domaćinima - obiteljima koje su ugostile naše učenike.
